Rosanna Rossi at the Henries

One of our favourite brands to work with- Rosanna Rossi - was recently nominated for the Henries 2014 category 'Most Promising Young Designer'! It was all down to the hard work and superb designs by designer & co-founder Anna Nelson. An honour indeed, and even though Anna didn't win on the night, we are delighted to see Anna's work recognised as one of the most exciting and vibrant designers in the UK today.

We asked Anna to share her experience of being nominated for the Henries...

'I have worked within the design industry for over 10 years and organically moved towards the greeting card market five years ago.

Rosanna Rossi greeting cards focus on providing a high quality product, with contemporary quirky design, which deliver a sense of fun and sophistication. Each year we enter our cards into The Henries Awards, which are the ultimate accolades in the greeting cards publishing, and every year they have around 15,000 card entries!

This was to be my last year submitting for the ''Most Promising Young Designer or Artist’ category due to the age restriction, so I wanted it to be eye-catching.

My entry was simple, clean and ‘let the cards do the talking’ as they say. So I created a board that featured Rosanna Rossi’s signature birds amongst a cluster of stylized flowers. Below the decorative header I presented a range of Rosanna Rossi cards depicted from each collection, which also showed off the quality of design, finish and overall presentation. All I could do now was to keep my fingers crossed as I wrapped the board and posted it off.

On the 1st August I was delighted by the news that I had reached the finals. I felt so proud to have made it through, especially being aware of all the other fantastic nominees.

The winners of all the award categories was revealed at the spectacular Highland Fling-Themed Henries Ball on Thursday 9th October. The ceremony provided an excellent opportunity to meet other like-minded publishers where we were able to share our experiences of design and creativity.

Although I didn't come away with the trophy, it was a wonderful evening, and London is for me a city which provides inexhaustible inspiration, so it was a perfect opportunity go exploring the following day!'
